First I clamped the light to a piece of 10 litre polythene paint tub. I then 'extended' the edge by adding a skim of car body filler. |

After shaping the unit roughly I stuck some self adhesive abrasive sheets to my rear clam shell, offered up the light and rubbed it against the abrasive until it was a snug fit. I then laminated two layers of glass fibre mat on the rear to give it strength. |

Final layer going on. I made a 'captive nut' from a piece of hexagonal brass bar and bonded this underneath my laminates. |
